For Our Peanut
What can you say about the sweetest dog in the world?
Ever gentle, happy to keep to the background, a follower. He was “Daddy’s Boy” and he knew it. He rescued himself from a life of abuse by running away and found his way to our loving home for 13 of his 14 years. Trust was hard to come by when he was a puppy, but through calm, gentle, loving care, he found out life could be pretty good!! Although he suffered from anxiety all of his life, he had a great support system and he always had people around him he could count on. Some of his favorite things to do were to be sure to wait by the window for his Daddy to get home from work and greet him with enthusiasm, he loved to play frisbee and chewing on big bones was also at the top of his list. Keeping everyone company was his goal and he was ever watchful for anyone who was sitting quietly, it was at those moments he would come just lie down nearby. He was a great companion for our daughter through her growing up years, sleeping by her bed all night in a watchful vigil to be sure neither himself or her would be lonely in the night.
What can you say about the sweetest dog in the world? He will be forever missed by those of us who were privileged enough to have him as a part of our lives. He is irreplaceable, and it was an honor to have him as a part of our family. We love you P-Nut! We loved you as a pup, adored you through the years and will miss you forever.
