Our Beautiful Elka – We Love and Miss You Dearly

Today we had to do our loving parent duty of helping our beautiful Elka over the bridge. She was an amazing dog that lived over 14 years and loved to do anything and everything with us. Our girl has struggled since April 2023 with what the vet thought was liver cancer. Numerous pills everyday, a daily struggle to find what she wanted to eat … grilled steak, fried chicken thighs, Gerber baby food, etc., etc. … what she wanted changed daily, and getting up in the middle of every night to let her outside. She fought a long, hard battle and had the strongest will to live of anything I have ever seen. We would do anything to have her back, but know she is now running free. RIP our beautiful girl … you are one of the best, are so loved and will be forever missed!
