Minnie Sue Goodman aka “Minnie Moo Moo”. beloved English Springer Spaniel of John and Paula Goodman. crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully around 5:45pm on Friday, January 16th with her loving mother, Paula, and Aunt Adele by her side. She was born December 12, 2015 in Bland, VA. She was a rough and tough little chonk of a pup, often jumping and accidentally headbutting her family out of her rambunctiousness. Early on, she was known to destroy a lampshade or 10, but it was always an accident. Minnie was always happy and very ‘chill”…she didn’t have a mean bone in her fluffy body, always patient, kind and so sweet. She probably has more human friends than most other dogs, as her entire huge family loved her along with many friends and neighbors. Minnie was everybody’s baby.

She loved to catch frisbees and balls mid-air and was quite the athlete. She’d sniff out pesky lizards outside as her dad worked in his garage and was obsessed with digging holes to find voles. Most days her nose would have dirt on it which was normal for Minnie. But her favorite thing in the whole world was hunting with her daddy, John, the apple of her eye and her very best friend. She would fetch ducks or birds and loved being in the water. She couldn’t get near water without getting IN it, much to the chagrin of her mom because she always came home wet and muddy. She jumped at the thought of going for a ride with dad, to get the mail or take the trashcan and stop on the way back to visit her Aunt Adele while she fed her animals (some of which she loved to chase 😊 ). She loved spending weekends at the hunting club or going to Virginia to visit her other grandparents or riding across the creek on the four-wheeler to see her Gigi and Bubbie. She’d sneak down to her Aunt Sharon’s house to get treats with her little sis, Penelope. Everybody lit up whenever they saw Minnie Sue.

Minnie having to leave her family after only 10 years leaves a giant hole that can never be filled and many crushed hearts; but she loved so big that her body couldn’t last forever. While her family misses her here, she has many more human and animal loved ones in Heaven who were as happy to see her again, as the ones left behind who are grieving. She leaves a little piece of Heaven here and a beautiful aura with her loved ones… she deserves nothing but peace, pure joy and love. She was that good

Kind regards

Adele Goodman
