Cremation Services

When you choose private cremation, your pet is gently placed unaccompanied in the crematory for a private service. If you wish, your pet can be wrapped in its favorite blanket, nestled in its bed, or accompanied by a favorite toy. Your pet’s cremated remains are returned to you as quickly as possible, accompanied by several meaningful keepsakes.

Remembrance Cremation Collection $240

The Remembrance Collection features a wooden urn. The urn opens from the bottom with a sliding panel. Based on availability, the top of the urn may or may not have a tree of life design and the color may vary.

Heartfelt Cremation Collection $215

The Heartfelt Collection features a royal blue biodegradable urn. The urn opens from the top. Inside, there are tabs allowing for a photo to be easily attached and a partitioned space specially designed for small mementos.

Communal Cremation

Communal cremation is a comforting option for those who do not wish to have their pet’s cremated remains returned. After communal cremation, the remains are carefully and respectfully scattered in a private, serene location by Pet Pilgrimage. Since no cremated remains are returned to you, ask us about memorial keepsakes that you may want to consider purchasing prior to the cremation, such as a clay paw print.

Aquamation Services

Aquamation, also known as water cremation or alkaline hydrolysis, is a quiet, eco-friendly process that combines water flow, temperature, alkalinity, and time to gently return the body back to Mother Nature. By using a solution of 95% water and 5% alkali (a combination of potassium and sodium hydroxide), this water-based process accelerates the natural breakdown of the organic material of the body into its most basic building blocks.

Aquamation does in about twenty hours what takes nature months or even years to accomplish. At the end of the process, the chemical has been completely consumed, neutralized and no longer remains in the water solution.The sterile process water is released for recycling, leaving only the inorganic bone minerals remaining. These minerals are dried and then processed into a fine powder before being placed in an urn selected by the family.

Pet Transportation

You are always welcome to bring your pet to our facility; however, we realize that you may not be physically or emotionally able to transport your pet to us at the time of need. In this instance, we offer personal transportation of your pet from your home or veterinary clinic to our crematory and aquamation center.

When pet transportation is needed, a dedicated Pet Pilgrimage staff member arrives in a fully-equipped Pet Pilgrimage vehicle. Your pet will be wrapped in a special angel blanket and carefully transported on a pet gurney.

Our staff is on call 24 hours a day and can travel up to 1.5 hours from our Mooresville location for pickup. Fees may apply depending upon travel distance, supplemental assistance needed for larger pets, or other circumstantial factors.


